When an airline is a national flag bearer the responsibility on the airline becomes even more serious in nature and this is something that Air India Express understands quite well. The airline is the low cost subsidiary of Air India the nation’s official airline and the Government of India as well as its people have and always will rally around the airline. In recent times the airline has faced some flak over the way its operations function but then every organization does face issues at some point or the other. What is important is how they tackle these issues.
The birth of Air India Express came about primarily to serve the people of the nation. A few years ago there was a dearth of proper services to the people of India who flew abroad in search of employment. This problem was particularly faced by the people of the state of Kerala as well as surrounding states who sought employment in the Gulf region. Since the 1970s this trend of working in the Middle East had taken root and today the relationship between the people of mainly Kerala and the Gulf region cannot be undermined. Air India Express was established to mainly serve this population.
When the airline began its operations it was welcomed with open arms and the people of Kerala and other states connected to the Gulf region were quite happy that their demands were finally heard. Though Air India Express is surely facing some operational issues these days everyone hopes that these issues will be sorted out over time.
